great things happen every day
one day at a time makes it so
the older i get every moment
is a new moment
i know im here now
what do i do with myself here
i let myself go and learn
mostly what im not going to do
but then i find myself doing
what i have learned
so am i here
one day at a time?

i am alive
everyone in this sky
seems to leave me alone
i think i was abird
but im a young bird
shall i i feed the old
or shall i help them eat there food
as i fly in the universe sky
my time is endless
to feed would be good
for all now
maybe i'm thought for food
to all that dont need
unlike this type of nourishment
its bad
let me feed you
you cry
in a good sharing way
that we may learn
to teach
wht we should eat

Hi John, I'm a close friend of Mark Welcome. I just listened to Dehra Dun. Great vibe, Man. I used to play drums with Mark at the beginning. Still close. He says wonderful things about you.
Thanks for the music. Keep it coming.

i am dead
no one in these waters
seems to need me
I think i was a fish
but i am an old fish
shall i be food for the young
or shall i be eaten for food
as i swim in my minds ways
my days are short
to be eaten will be good
for me now
maybe i am food for thought
to them that need
this type of nourishment
is good
eat me up
I say
in a good sharing way
that you may learn
to teach
what not to eat

John! Holy Crap! I heard you were doing well, and it looks like it. I'm still playing trombone out here in Madison, Wisconsin, and got on Facebook not that long ago. I thought I'd do a search on you and BINGO!
Did Claude C ever ask you that question I asked him to ask you (about the mumps?) a few years ago-more like several years ago?
Send me an email when you get a chance, 'k? Lots to catch up on if you'd like to. Peace!

Hi John,
This is an fascinating site and it is great to see a neighborhood friend do so well. I remember hearing you practice and the music reverberating across the street through (summer time) open windows. It was a delicious treat then and it remains so!
Best to you and your continued success.

I was dreamscaping,......of a good planet.......I see it as we
have control.!
The math works......
we should become simple,
and act upon what good is said.
we've lost the importance of giving
and all things breathe the same air
so why do we not see the balance
that all things allways are here
And so are we,
Hi ....How are you?
Love everyone please!!!,,,,Marco

On: March 23, 2009 @03:03 pm
We've seen colectively
multiple entries of our jobs define us.
yet, we forget who we are'
in a single quest we jest
to you around us.
of our right
of who we are.
why cant we not forget.
I love you,
You love me,
she loves her,
her loves him, him loves them,
they love those, those love they,
who they love too, then there's us
Yes ---
we should love together.
each other as children.
and protect each other as family
of the earth.
our mother and father.

What the hec am I missing here? Playing at the Grammy's? I am as you can tell by my email address a true Fumo as well, and no Janie is not my real name because when my parents came to Canada no one could pronounce my italian name and thats what I got stuck with. Ok all you other Fumos out there, are any of us related?? I am in Vancouver BC.
On: February 09, 2009 @01:02 am
It was great to see you playin' at the Grammy Awards. Seeing you play took me back to the 4 or 5 year run that we had playing together with the "Bad Boys" of Tierra. Anyway, it was good seeing you and please send my love to Kelly and the rest of the Fumo familia.
On: January 28, 2009 @06:01 am
Who are all these Fumos that I do not know?

My english is poor, sorry, but I want to contact you cause my name, my history, my past and my love for the music basicly, thanks
On: May 10, 2008 @06:05 pm
I hope my love has wings,
And that it may fly into your hearts, soft and with comfort,
as would an embrace, but
listen in the quietness, for
one message that is hard to hear, a voice soft spoken,
and yet so clear, its you i call to break my fear, and trust my dream, that all can be well,
without this ongoing living hell, that something great in us may come, the revalation that one is one! .....................than everything is love!........and love is all we need.
Thankyou SoMuch For Love

Hey John, I saw you on Idol tonight and was about to call my sister (Debbie) when the phone rang and she said, "I just saw John Fumo on American Idol!" Your hair's a little shorter, but otherwise no change since Tremper marching band. Do you know if anyone ever filmed our field drills? I'd love to see some of those contests again. You were and are so talented. Good luck with your latest endeavor.

On: February 01, 2008 @01:02 pm
hey jack and kelly/kids
how much LOVE does it take to make this world a better place? If there is a GOD, i wish that he/or she could give us ALL a HIT of something,..
that would make us all have the
same VISION,...at the same
TIME,.....just 5 minutes of some sobering reality that the
WORLD could experience
ALL at once. ONE MOMENT.
in where as the only answer
would be PEACE. that all people need to step up and take the final leap, to grow up,
move on, with no old habits,
into the
NEW WORLD,......
love mark

I'm Louis Fumo's (Kenosha) #2 (50 @ 12/02) Daughter. I went to St. Joe's with Gena Marrano your cousin from the other side. We never met but my dad had Fumo picnics(1980s) and your sister attended with mom. I heard you were a great trumpetter..doesn't run on my side... have 2 sisters: Julie (43) and Kathy (52) all on the blonde side. It would be nice to hear from you - your dad and my dad = cousins.
On: October 10, 2007 @10:10 am
Hey John,
Hope all is well... I'm still trying to do my best for the jazz scene back here in ktown - the culture seems to finally be growing here. I'll propagate your site as appropriate.

Hey John, Groovy site, man. I just got home, got back to my computer, and recieved your email. The last part of the tour was a grind. It was affectionately called "The Retrabution Tour." It was a gas meeting you and blasting on the "coil of torture" together. The new mouthpiece is starting to sink in and the upper register is beginning to feel better than the old one. By the way, great music your wife and you are doing. Sounds really nice!! You know Tim Kobza is from my hometown, Omaha. In fact we just did a jam session with the Cosintino Brothers (also from Omaha, living in LA) in Omaha a couple of weeks before you and I played for Wayne. Small world!!! Anyway stay in touch, stay cool, and as Jake would say, "Keep it straight ahead, and strive for tone!"
On: August 15, 2007 @11:08 pm
Wow. Cosmo is grown and I am still a child. Nice to see you, Fumo. Hope all is well.

Blast from the past. Came accross your website and thought I'd drop a line. If you're ever in Pittsburgh or near by, lets get togeher and catch up. Looks like you're doing well. Still in the Pittsburgh Symphony. Plenty of horn but piano is long gone.
Take care.

Howdy John!
It's so odd, I was just listening to an old album you played on the other night, "Wayne Peet's Doppler Funk - BLASTO!" GOOD GAWD Y'ALL! I LOVED your playing on there both ensemble and solo (especially the ones you did on "En Baille De Jesus" and "Religion") Anyhooooo, it's so great to see you constantly eperimenting and creating in anumber of different ways. FUMOSINIC is very unique stuff! The mark of atrue artist is not merely being a great instrumentalist but a complete musician, an John, you definitely epitomize that! Keep up the great work, whether you're creating those ethereal soundscapes with Kelly, exploring the outer edges of jazz or anything else. This is one musician who really appreciates your artistry and uniqueness.

Hi John. I'm sure you don't remember me, but I was in band with you at Tremper. I was 2nd chair clarinet. I was best friends with Donna Sorensen. Do you remember her? I still remember you playing Mac Arthur Park in the Lance Variety Show. It blew me away. I also remember Black Watch when we were on the field and you came out of the middle of everyone and blew this really high note! You were extremely talented and I see now you are doing what you were fabulous at back in junior and high school. I remember your group of guys that all loved Pink Floyd. (I did too!) I remember Claude Cailliet and Danny Fornero walking down the band hallway at Tremper saying, "Dyno". That was the big phrase then. I also remember going to a party at your house once. You had a black light in your room. Oh the memories. I have occasionally looked on the Tremper website and read about people. I saw you on there and saw your link to this site, so I decided to visit it. I also remember seeing in the stores a Neil Young ***(Love him!-I actually met David Crosby and Stephen Stills)*** and Crazy Horse CD that you and Claude played on. Wow. I wish you continued success in your career and the best to both you and your wife. I just couldn't resist writing.

You two are truly amazing. Kelly's voice is SWEET, and the music...unlike ANYTHING I've ever heard: oringinal, intelligent, polished. Very Iimpressive!
